Law Clerk / Judicial Assistant - Supreme

• Research legal topics related to assigned cases.
• Reads, analyzes, and interprets case law, statutes, and briefs.
• Prepares drafts of opinions, orders, and memoranda.
• Assists other administrative staff positions for coverage of overflow work and during absences. Administrative support coverage may include duties related to the allocaturs, opinions, and miscellaneous motions dockets; answering phones and welcoming visitors; and other traditional clerical support.
• Performs special assignments, as directed.

• Candidate must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania or attain admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania within twelve months of the date of hire.
• Satisfactory criminal background check required.

• Discern, analyze, and apply pertinent legal authorities.
• Draft logical and persuasive memoranda and opinions.
• Satisfy deadlines.
• Superior organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Professionalism, reliability, decorum, discretion, and confidentiality.
• In person, not remote.

• 35 hours per week
