Forever New is looking for a talented Print Textile Designer to join our design team. This role plays a key part in shaping the visual direction of our collections through trend‑led, commercial, and brand‑aligned print and graphic design.

Working closely with the Design and Buying teams, you’ll translate global trends into elevated, production‑ready artwork that reflects Forever New’s signature handwriting.

  • Research and prepare key message trend boards that support seasonal direction
  • Present new ideas and research weekly, following through by applying concepts into live artwork
  • Review artwork throughout development to ensure designs are commercial, brand‑aligned, and technically achievable
  • Maintain awareness of copyright laws and apply them correctly in artwork interpretation
  • Initiate and develop graphic designs from inception through to production
  • Ensure all printed artwork is production‑ready, including seamless repeats, accurate scale, and clear colour direction
  • Prepare embroidery artwork that is technically accurate and aligned to fixed repeat specifications
  • Work confidently across placement prints, pattern construction, and graded production artwork
  • Apply strong Adobe Suite skills for recolouring, repeating, scaling, and technical preparation
  • Identify and troubleshoot artwork limitations early to minimise production risk
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback on strike‑offs and revisions with suppliers
  • Clarify briefs in detail with Design prior to commencement, ensuring clear expectations and timelines.
  • Manage deadlines effectively, working autonomously on core projects before review with the Design Manager.
  • Present multiple artwork, colour, and scale options when submitting completed briefs

Requirements

  • A qualification in Fashion Design/Textile Design/ Graphic Design is essential
  • Extensive technical knowledge of screen and digital printing across multiple fabric base cloths
  • Comparable experience with communicating with overseas suppliers and the factory capabilities and limitations in developing new artworks
  • Proficient abilities in Adobe suite programs, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
  • Comprehensive design skills and experience working on beautiful womenswear end use artworks
  • Experience working within a fast-paced design team
  • High attention to detail, strong management skills and clear communication style with team members and stakeholders
  • A sound knowledge of local and overseas fashion retail markets
