Responsibilities

  • →Diagnose, repair, and replace damaged glass on commercial trucks and fleet vehicles.
  • →Remove and install windshields, side glass, rear glass, and specialty glass components.
  • →Calibrate and verify vehicle systems related to glass replacement when required.
  • →Inspect vehicles for damage and document repair recommendations.
  • →Perform mobile service calls at customer locations and fleet yards as needed.
  • →Ensure proper use of adhesives, tools, and materials in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • →Communicate professionally with customers, fleet managers, and team members.
  • →Complete repair orders and related documentation accurately and on time.

  • Previous experience in automotive, commercial truck, RV, bus, or heavy equipment glass installation preferred.
  • Experience working with Class 6-8 trucks, fleet vehicles, or commercial equipment is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment
Will primarily work in an automotive shop environment. Workspace is covered but may involve various weather conditions such as heat and cold as well as safety hazards due to the nature of work. May experience loud noise on a regular basis.

Physical Demands
Medium/Heavy Work---Will lift over 50 pounds with assistance device required and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to or over 35 pounds with assistance device available as needed.
This position will require the employee to be standing for prolonged periods of time.
This position requires the ability to push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and walk on a regular basis.
This position involves repetitive motion.
This position requires the ability to talk and hear.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or the equivalent and two-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Preferred Education and Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school. Three years of verifiable auto glass replacement experience. Luxury car experience preferred.
