Electrical EIT, QC & Testing

Panelmatic is currently looking for an Electrical EIT, for QC and Testing to join RIC Power, our sister company located in Burnaby, BC Canada

• →Functional Testing: Perform full testing of protection and control schemes on custom switchgear.
• →Apparatus Testing: Conduct high-voltage tests including Hi-Pot, Partial Discharge (PD), BIL, and Heat Run.
• →Leadership: Lead and mentor a small testing team, ensuring strict adherence to HV safety protocols.
• →Collaboration: Interpret complex schematics to troubleshoot and resolve issues with Engineering and Production.
• →Client Interaction: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to demonstrate equipment performance to clients.
• →Field Support: Provide occasional (5%) remote or on-site support.

• Education & Experience: Degree, or diploma in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in low & medium voltage switchgear and power apparatus testing.
• Technical Expertise: Expert at interpreting complex electrical drawings and performing hands-on testing.
• Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, high attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office for technical reporting.

• Experience in a switchgear manufacturing or testing environment.
• Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., CSA, IEEE, ANSI, NETA testing standards).
• Experience with PLC programming and testing.
• Familiarity with communication network testing.
