What you will be doing: Design and maintain scalable data architectures (Star Schema, Snowflake, or Medallion) that support high-speed reporting and advanced analytics. Develop and monitor complex workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF), prioritising automation and "Data-as-Code" principles. Write, audit, and optimize high-performance SQL queries, stored procedures, and views. You’ll be the go-to person for solving complex "Query Plan" and "Indexing" challenges. Implement automated validation scripts and transformation logic to ensure "single source of truth" data quality. Work with BI and Dev teams to ensure data pipelines are integrated into the wider software ecosystem via CI/CD and version control. What our client is looking for: Deep proficiency in T-SQL (SQL Server). You should know how to use Window Functions, CTEs, and Columnstore Indexes to squeeze performance out of massive datasets. Proven experience with Azure Data Factory or similar cloud orchestration tools. Experience with Python or C# for scripting, and a solid understanding of Git/Azure DevOps (No "manual" changes in production).
