RN Hospice Weekend On Call

• Service Area:  Boston, Roxbury, Dorchester, Hyde Park, West Roxbury, Brighton areas
• Job Type: Part-time
• Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am – 8:00 pm

• →Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
• →Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• →Initiates the plan of care and makes necessary revisions as patient status and needs change.
• →Responds promptly to incoming calls during afterhours. (Weekends 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM)
• →Assesses patient’s needs through triaging and providing in-home care when needed.
• →Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary team to contribute a strong Plan of Care for each patient.
• →Responds to inquiries and concerns from patients, their caregivers, and their medical team.
• →Consults patients and caregivers before, during and after treatment.

• 2+ years' nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics is desirable.
• New nurses, feel free to apply!  We have a great training program.
• Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations.
• Maintain current BLS CPR certification.
• Possess a valid driver's license and own a reliable, insured vehicle.
