This role
The Fraud Operations Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and investigating fraud across PayJoy's Credit Line and Credit Card products in the Philippines. This role focuses on identifying emerging fraud patterns, conducting fraud investigations, supporting fraud mitigation initiatives, and ensuring operational queues and investigations are managed effectively.
The Fraud Operations Analyst will work closely with Fraud Operations, Risk, Product, Engineering, Collections, and Operations teams to identify control gaps, improve fraud detection capabilities, and strengthen fraud prevention throughout the customer lifecycle. This role is ideal for an analytical and curious individual who enjoys investigations, problem solving, and translating fraud trends into practical actions that protect portfolio quality and support sustainable business growth.
Conduct daily reviews of fraud alerts, high-risk applications, and suspicious customer activity across Credit Line and Credit Card products.
Investigate fraud cases involving identity fraud, account takeovers, synthetic identities, repeat borrower abuse, device resale, QR-enabled products, and other emerging fraud vectors.
Monitor fraud trends, portfolio performance, customer utilization behaviour, and operational metrics to proactively identify new fraud patterns, unusual QR code transactions, rapid credit line drawdowns, circular fund movements, cash-out schemes, mule activity, merchant collusion, and control weaknesses.
Perform manual reviews and customer outreach activities where required to validate applications and support fraud investigations.
Document investigation findings, maintain accurate case records, and ensure timely escalation of suspicious activity.
Support the development, testing, and optimization of fraud rules, controls, and operational processes.
Prepare fraud performance reports, deep dives, and analytical summaries to support decision making and fraud mitigation initiatives.
Partner with Risk, Product, Engineering, Collections, and Operations teams to provide fraud insights and recommend process improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Criminology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Two to four years of experience in fraud operations, fraud investigations, financial crime, card fraud, consumer lending fraud, or digital payment fraud.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, investigate anomalies, and make data-driven recommendations.
Experience working with fraud tools, case management systems, dashboards, and operational reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards and meeting operational targets.
