Senior Associate, Asset Mix and Trading

Interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers? We are seeking a Senior Associate for an existing vacancy in our Asset Mix and Trading team with a focus on trading and portfolio management. The candidate would work closely with the Manager of the Asset Mix & Trading team on client analysis, differentiated trading, Alternative investment management, as well as custom account Portfolio Management. The role will combine CC&L Private Capital Trading & Execution practices along with initiatives that we are enabling to enhance our differentiated product base to provide value for our private clients. You’ll work in a collaborative environment across the organization—supported by internal Private Capital and cross functional teams. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Pooled fund trade execution and oversight (including specialized SEG trading)
- →Execute asset mix and cash flow trades in accordance with client SIPs (Statement of Investment Policies)
- →Client analysis and Portfolio Management practices of standard and custom mandates
- →Differentiated trading including but not limited to derivatives trading, SEG trading, Alternative Investment Capital call trading
- →Work with internal teams on data integrity, special trade requests, trade issues and ad hoc activities
- →Contribute to collateral management for derivative trading
- →Assist with cash management and monitoring for Alternative investment trusts
- →Support client account constraint monitoring and related Portfolio Management considerations
- 2+ years’ experience in financial services or risk management, or in a related industry
- Proficiency in capital markets, financial concepts, and account types (RRSPs, TFSAs, LIRAs, FHSAs, Corporate/Personal taxable accounts, etc.)
- Advanced Excel; strong data manipulation skills, proficiency in MS Suite applications
- Experience using AI-assisted workflows would be an asset
- Experience with Salesforce, Charles River, KDB, would be an asset
- Bachelor’s degree with preference in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or similar discipline
