Job Description:
The Logistics Supervisor oversees daily logistics operations for inbound, outbound, international, and domestic shipments, as well as 3PL order management. This role ensures shipments are executed on time, cost-effectively, and in compliance with customs and transportation requirements. The Logistics Supervisor works closely with internal teams, carriers, freight forwarders, vendors, suppliers, and customs platforms to resolve issues, maintain accurate documentation, and improve logistics processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily logistics activities, including shipment planning, scheduling, tracking, and delivery follow-up.
- Oversee inbound, outbound, international, and domestic shipments to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, vendors, and suppliers to confirm pickups, routing, delivery appointments, and shipment status.
- Monitor shipment exceptions, including delays, damages, missing information, or carrier issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage carrier claims for damaged, lost, or missing cargo, including documentation and follow-up through resolution.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, including labels, customs paperwork, invoices, delivery receipts, and compliance records.
- Manage VUCE permits, ITBIS exemptions, tax payment requests, and other import/export documentation requirements.
- Ensure import/export compliance, including accurate HTS codes, duties, taxes, and supporting documentation.
- Support creation of PO s, Sales Orders, Transfer Orders for our Global facilities.
- Support SKU creation, SKU upload and PO reconciliation.
- Support onboarding and coordination of international suppliers and logistics partners.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs, improve delivery performance, consolidate shipments, and streamline logistics processes.
- Provide guidance and support to logistics team members and serve as an escalation point for shipment-related issues.
- Track logistics performance and provide updates or reports to leadership as needed.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight forwarding, or import/export operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, including leading, training, coaching, or coordinating the work of others.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, vendors, suppliers, and international partners.
- Strong understanding of import/export procedures, customs documentation, HTS codes, duties, taxes, and compliance requirements.
- Comfortable using ERP systems, logistics platforms, customs systems, shipment tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Able to review documentation carefully, identify issues quickly, and follow through on exceptions until resolved.
- Professional and proactive when coordinating with carriers, vendors, freight forwarders, customs partners, internal teams, and leadership.
- Able to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve workflows, and support reliable, efficient logistics operations.
