Position Overview
The Strategy and Portfolio Analyst III plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future. This position supports the facilitation of strategy development, the preparation and execution of strategy reviews, and the creation of clear, consistent communications. This position supports prioritization, alignment, and accountability around strategic initiatives that optimize the value of the company’s portfolio, through management of the portfolio intake, demand management, and governance processes.
Essential Job Functions
- Facilitates and supports business and department-level strategic planning processes
- Designs and conducts strategy reviews and alignment meetings
- Creates and maintains strategy communications including goals, priorities, scorecards and other results, and governance decisions.
- Manages the portfolio intake process for new initiatives, enhancements and requests, ensuring submissions include sufficient business context, objectives, benefits, and success measures
- Monitors the progress and effectiveness of the portfolio, providing regular updates and recommendations for adjustments as needed
- Supports the implementation and enablement of the company’s strategy framework, documentation, and execution systems, and develops change management plans to gain adoption
- Partners with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to understand target outcomes, define strategic objectives and business goals, and ensure consistent alignment on key initiatives
- Identifies and compiles analysis and insights from internal and external sources to support decision-making, including market trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging risks
- Prepares and presents reports and presentations to senior leadership, providing clear and concise insights and recommendations
- Stays up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative
- Develops workshop facilitation materials and strategy enablement resources
- Maintains a consolidated view of portfolio demand, prioritization status, and supporting documentation to provide transparency across the organization
- Identifies conflicting requests and facilitates discussions to clarify or resolve competing priorities
- Facilitates consistent assessment of portfolio requests using agreed-upon criteria, including business value, risk, urgency, dependencies, and strategic alignment
- Prepares portfolio insights and recommendations for governance review and supports prioritization discussions and decision-making forums
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational leadership, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Typically requires 4+ years of experience in strategic planning, business planning, business analysis, management consulting, or corporate communications
Preferred
- Familiarity with strategy and execution frameworks such as Playing to Win, OKRs, Balanced Scorecard, OGSM, and 4DX
- Experience with portfolio management, program management, demand intake, prioritization, or governance processes
- Experience working in strategy, business development, financial planning, or transformation office
- Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, or Life Insurance

Pay Range:
- $83,000 – $111,000 per year
- This range is based on the expected level of experience and skills for this position. Final compensation will depend on individual
