Responsibilities

  • →Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable, including client payments, vendor payments, outstanding invoices, expense tracking, bank deposits, and account reconciliations.
  • →Coordinate and process payroll, including reviewing employee hours, verifying wage rates and project information, reconciling payroll deductions and taxes, and completing payroll-related reporting.
  • →Manage certified payroll documentation, union labor reporting, workers’ compensation reporting, and other payroll compliance requirements.
  • →Support employee benefits administration, including enrollments, payroll deductions, PTO tracking, and annual open enrollment.
  • →Maintain accurate employee records and assist with new hire onboarding, offboarding, payroll setup, and required employment documentation.
  • →Serve as a primary administrative contact for vendors, insurance providers, regulatory agencies, licenses, certifications, vehicle registrations, and other business compliance needs.
  • →Other responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, or related administrative experience, preferably in construction or a project-based environment.
  • Associates degree or equivalent coursework in accounting preferred.
  • 2+ years of office administration responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Paychex, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptable and proactive.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
