About the Role: The Ideal candidate will be responsible for driving outdoor channel growth through the development and execution of strategic initiatives to expand the network of vendors and agents nationwide. This role involves designing and implementing programs to enhance total vendor welfare, improving retention rates, and attracting new vendors and agents on a scale. Main Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning Analysing market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to develop and implement comprehensive trade marketing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. Leveraging data and insights to drive monthly and quarterly performance delivery across channels, Categories, regions and brands Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour Use insights to inform trade marketing strategies and tactics 2. Channel Growth Strategy Developing and executing strategies to drive vendor and agent growth across the country. Design and execute loyalty programs and initiatives to enhance customer retention and satisfaction. Implement initiatives to improve vendor welfare ensuring satisfaction and retention through regular engagement and feedback. Analyse customer data to identify trends and opportunities for improving customer engagement. 3. Promotional Activities Plan and oversee the execution of trade promotions, in-store displays, and merchandising activities. Collaborate with field sales teams to ensure effective implementation and maximize impact. Collaborate with key stakeholders for the deployment and management of POS materials in relevant channels 4. Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and other partners. Plan and lead the execution of strategic stakeholder engagement sessions in your region, fostering collaborative partnerships to accelerate growth. 5. Asset Management Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure the timely and full deployment of new assets across the country. Ensure an up-to-date inventory of assets and assess state and gaps vs plan Collaborate with key stakeholders in the deployment and redeployment of sales equipment and cold chain assets. Monitor sales assets ROIC (simple KPIs), and redeploy if needed 6. Trade Partner Management: Build strong relationships with distributors and retailers, managing in-store visibility and creating targeted promotional campaigns. 7. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of trade marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Focus on team development ensuring development plans are in place for all and clear objectives are agreed, ensuring the Salesforce operation is properly skilled 8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade promotions and in-store promotions to determine whether these meet the company's objectives in the assigned region 9. Serve as a spokesperson for the team at key regional stakeholder meetings, ensuring customer marketing is well represented and customer insight is being considered in wider commercials decision-making. 10. Work closely with the Brand team to ensure customer strategies are developed in line with the brand thinking and executed consistency. 11. Align with the Sales and Channels team to ensure campaign activities delivering against sales targets and forecasts are fed in during planning phases. 12. Look for opportunities to gain distribution on new products and improve product exposure (shelf positioning, advertising, and promotions) - including monitoring what competitors are doing in assigned regions. 13. Work closely with the Insight team, utilising customer insights to inform the CRM strategy to drive key commercial metrics Requirements Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or any relevant course of study Minimum of 4-5 years work experience Excellent interpersonal skills, along with oral and written communication. Strong commercial background (Sales- and or Marketing) Bilingualism is an asset (English and French). Great interest in the consumer goods market, its banners and its competitors. Good creativity, analytical, numerical and presentation skills & argumentative approach. Decision making & able to react fast to changing environment. Broad understanding of marketing Customer/consumer shopper techniques Understands data/analytics and how to leverage within a CRM strategy. Insights generations and application
