We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and research-driven Sourcing Specialist to support talent acquisition initiatives within the Legal & Compliance market across Australia.
This role will focus heavily on talent mapping, market research, candidate identification, and pipeline development for legal and compliance professionals. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating market intelligence, identifying high-calibre talent, and supporting consultants with research-driven recruitment projects across a range of legal, risk, governance, regulatory, and compliance functions.
As the initial point of contact for prospective candidates, the successful individual must be able to communicate confidently and professionally with lawyers, compliance professionals, and senior stakeholders. The role requires strong sourcing and research capability, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to develop a deep understanding of the Australian Legal & Compliance market.
While prior legal recruitment experience is advantageous, we are open to recruitment professionals with strong experience in sourcing, talent mapping, executive search support, or research-focused recruitment who are eager to learn a new market and build expertise within the Legal & Compliance space.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- → Conduct talent mapping and market research across the Australian Legal & Compliance market.
- → Identify and source high-calibre legal and compliance professionals through LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing channels.
- → Generate candidate leads and obtain relevant market and contact intelligence.
- → Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future client requirements.
- → Conduct candidate outreach and engagement activities.
- → Support consultants through market intelligence gathering, competitor mapping, and talent research.
- → Deliver targeted shortlists and talent insights for recruitment projects.
- → Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, and recruitment updates.
- → Maintain accurate candidate records, recruitment trackers, ATS, and CRM databases.
- → Develop a strong understanding of legal, compliance, governance, risk, and regulatory talent markets across Australia.
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of experience in sourcing, recruitment, executive search, talent mapping, or research-focused recruitment.
- Proven experience conducting talent mapping and candidate identification activities.
- Strong proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter and online research methodologies.
- Experience utilizing sourcing tools, databases, and social media platforms for talent identification.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage professionally with lawyers, executives, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
