Position Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance operations across our greenhouse facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in greenhouse systems, equipment troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance—with the ability to communicate clearly in both English and Spanish to support a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities across multiple greenhouse sites (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, irrigation, and automation systems).
• Manage a small team of technicians, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
• Perform diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment, lighting, motors, fans, boilers, and packing machinery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders in the digital system (i2i Proteus or similar).
• Collaborate closely with Growing, Packing, and Facility teams to minimize downtime and prioritize urgent repairs.
• Train and mentor maintenance crew—many of whom are Spanish-speaking—on procedures, safety, and equipment use.
• Support projects and upgrades such as LED lighting, automation systems, and facility expansions.
• Ensure all maintenance complies with food safety and occupational safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in greenhouse, food processing, or industrial settings.
• Proven supervisory or lead-hand experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish fluency required) – must be able to instruct and communicate with Spanish-speaking employees.
• Experience with PLC systems, boilers, pumps, or automation controls an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites in Abbotsford.
