Backend Developer with GO experience

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Backend Developer with Golang expertise to join our team working on esportal.com, a competitive gaming platform for Counter-Strike 2, designed to provide a clean, cheat-free, and fair experience for players.

You will play a critical role in designing and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our high-traffic platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a product that directly impacts competitive gaming communities across Europe and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain microservices using Golang
  
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs that serve thousands of concurrent users
  
• Ensure backend components are highly performant and scalable
  
• Optimize and manage SQL-based databases
  
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and DevOps teams to deliver seamless features
  
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on quality and reliability
  
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and performance analysis
  
  

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a backend developer
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Golang in production environments
  
• Solid understanding and experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  
• Proven experience with RESTful API design and implementation
  
• Familiarity with microservice architectures
  
• Experience using version control tools like Git
  
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum team environment
  
• Strong communication skills in English
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with ReactJS or willingness to collaborate with frontend development
  
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration technologies
  
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
  
• Experience working with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
