LYFT Youth Program Leader - Make a Difference with PHMC!

Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) is seeking dynamic candidates to join our LYFT OST crew! If you have a heart for education, innovative programming, working with high school adolescents, community engagement, and Leading Youth For Tomorrow, this role is for you!

• →Provide daily supervision and engaging activities for up to 15 youth.
• →Engage youth in life skills group discussions and activities.
• →Engage youth to design and implement STEAM-focused project-based learning, service-learning, and/or experiential learning projects.
• →Lead and guide youth during program activities, including projects, trips, and meals.
• →Supervise and mentor youth during recreational, physical, academic, and project-based programs.
• →Tutor and assist youth individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and reinforce learning concepts presented by instructors/teachers.
• →Communicate with parents and the school community.
• →Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
• →Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• →Complete other duties related to programming, such as reporting and attendance.

• Knowledge of youth development principles
• Ability to engage and relate to 9th and 12th-grade students
• Knowledge of project-based learning
• Ability to create engaging, fun, and impactful programs for youth
• Willingness to adapt to changing work demands
• Ability to relate to diverse program environments and people from various cultural backgrounds
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, team members, and school personnel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• General knowledge of classroom management techniques
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work independently
• Commitment to meeting deadlines and program goals
• Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships

• High school diploma/GED required
• Preferred: Some college-level coursework
• Preferred: One year of experience working with children and/or adolescents in a high school setting
