Job Duties: Build cutting edge technology using the latest advances in deep learning and machine learning to personalize Pinterest. Partner closely with teams across Pinterest to experiment and improve ML models for various product surfaces (Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search), while gaining knowledge of how machine learning works in different areas. Use data driven methods and leverage the unique properties of our data to improve candidates retrieval. Work in a high-impact environment with quick experimentation and product launches. Keeping up with industry trends in recommendation systems.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a directly related technical field such as Applied Analytics, plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related position.

Special Skill Requirements:

Must have at least one (1) year of experience in each of the following:

1. Distributed Systems design for ads infrastructure;
2. Configuring A/B Testing experiments; Custom large-scale data analysis using GoogleSQL/BigQuery on multi-terabyte datasets;
3. End-to-end Ownership of Ads Serving/Bidding system design; Spanning engineering design to high-availability production launch;
4. Cross-platform metric consistency;
5. Defining Engineering Roadmap; Securing VP/Executive-level resource allocation via robust technical/business proposal defense;
6. Cross-functional alignment to enforce high-quality engineering standards while maintaining a speedy launch/release cadence;
7. High-level operational planning: Defining and scoring Objective and Key Results (OKR);
8. Conducting project retrospectives/strategic alignment; Export to Sheets;
9. Developing automated on-call alerting and real-time mitigation strategies for high-severity production incidents.

Salary: $248,676.00 to $332,012.00 per annum
