Law Librarian

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Law Librarian to join our Library Services team in Sydney.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Provide both simple and complex reference and research services across a range of print and electronic resources
• Have the ability to conduct daily media and legislative searches and to distribute the latest updates to relevant practice teams
• Deliver regular training in using the library's online resources to new law clerks, law graduates and lawyers through induction, or ongoing refresher training.
• Ensure the lawyers are kept up to date with all legal developments relevant to their practice groups
• Assists in the preparation and distribution of practice reports

Skills & Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in librarianship (or equivalent)
• Minimum of five years' experience in a law library
• Experience presenting legal research training programs
• An understanding of the legislative process and legal concepts
• Thorough understanding of legal research methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

This role is being offered on a part time basis, 2 days per week
