Responsibilities
~2 min readThe Paralegal will be responsible for assisting the General Counsel in managing all legal matters of the tech company, including contract drafting and reviewing, intellectual property management, compliance, and corporate governance. This role requires a combination of administrative and legal skills to support the legal function effectively within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- →Keep Our Documents Shipshape: Assist in preparing, reviewing, and revising contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Maintain an organized and up-to-date document management system to ensure timely compliance with legal obligations and deadlines.
- →Scout the Legal Horizon: Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on various topics, such as regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and commercial law. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its operations.
- →Help Safeguard Our Treasure: Assist in managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Work with external counsel and internal stakeholders on intellectual property matters, such as registrations, renewals, and enforcement actions.
- →Keep Our Governance on Course: Assist in corporate governance matters, including preparing documents for meetings, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring compliance with governance policies and procedures. Support compliance efforts by assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and training programs.
- →Support the Rules of the Seas: Provide support to the team by organizing documents and coordinating cross-functionally and with outside counsel. Provide general administrative support to the General Counsel, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining legal files, and handling correspondence.
- →Sail from your port o’ call: You’re able to work from home and connect with your crewmates throughout the day over chat, voice, and video through company provided equipment. Periodic in-person meetings at varied locations.

Requirements
~1 min read- 2-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a technology company or law firm, with exposure to intellectual property, contracts, and corporate law.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in legal document drafting and review.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and legal research tools and project management tools
- Paralegal will be required to travel internationally and domestically on quarterly business meetings.
- Paralegal certification.
- Familiarity with the technology industry and related legal issues.
- Proficiency with Adobe, Pitch, Slack, Notion, Asana, and Docusign.
