We have more than 500 team members across multiple offices, primarily in Calabasas CA, San Diego CA, Woodridge IL, Minneapolis, MN and Pleasanton, CA. We also have team members in two company-owned offices in China, as well as in Europe.

PlanetArt is hiring a Seasonal Custodial Associate to support the Maintenance department during our Q4 holiday peak, October through December. This is a temporary, full-time position.

Q4 is the busiest time of the year for our warehouse, and this role is responsible for keeping the facility, office areas and associate break rooms clean, safe and orderly while volume is at its highest. Because this is a peak-season role, mandatory 10 and 12-hour shifts and weekend hours should be expected throughout the assignment. Flexibility to change shifts for short periods may also be needed.

• →Daily cleaning and sanitizing of shared spaces including the warehouse cafeteria and restrooms
• →Communicate with your supervisor on any supplies needed for the kitchen, cafeteria and restrooms
• →Maintain your work area and assigned equipment in a clean and orderly manner and follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
• →Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned (dusting, trash removal, vacuuming of cubicles and offices, etc.)

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
• Ability to wipe mirrors, countertops, sinks and associate cafeteria tables
• Detail oriented, practices safe sanitation procedures
• Experience using cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners and general sanitation tools
• Background in handling, mixing, using and disposing of cleaning chemicals by following product directions
• Demonstrated history of multi-tasking and working at a steady pace
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
• Performs limited grounds maintenance including debris pickup within and outside the facility
• Maintains a neat and orderly custodial storage room and ensures adequate supplies are stocked
• Reports safety hazards or maintenance issues to a supervisor in a timely manner
• Availability to work 2nd shift, overtime and weekends throughout the October through December season
• Ability to interact with all levels of associates, guests and vendors while remaining professional and courteous
• Ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision

• Work is performed in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to heavy machinery, dust, fluctuating temperatures and moderate noise levels
• Position involves working around machinery with moving parts
• Position requires regular lifting of up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Position requires movement of items from warehouse storage areas to other locations
• Position requires regular handling of cleaning materials and chemicals, and lifting, pulling, pushing and bending
