We have more than 500 team members across multiple offices, primarily in Calabasas CA, San Diego CA, Woodridge IL, Minneapolis, MN and Pleasanton, CA. We also have team members in two company-owned offices in China, as well as in Europe.

PlanetArt is hiring Seasonal Production Lead to support the Fulfillment department during our Q4 holiday peak, October through December. This is a temporary, full-time position.

The Seasonal Production Lead role will consist of applying personalized designs to products using specialized equipment via a variety of methods and media.  Each role requires that the lead follow specific prep guidelines, order details, or shipping/fulfillment procedures. Responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of all regular, seasonal and temporary personnel. Incumbent will be “hands-on” and possess structured problem-solving skills. This is the highest-volume stretch of our year, so mandatory 10 and 12-hour shifts and weekend hours should be expected throughout the assignment. Flexibility to change shifts for short periods may also be needed.

• →Responsible for assisting the Supervisor with the management of all production, quality personnel and departmental issues as they arise.
• →Maintain a Safety First and continuous improvement based culture.
• →Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering team to identify areas needing improvement and on-going preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment
• →Ensure employees have necessary tools to perform essential functions of their jobs.
• →Work within assigned area to produce and personalize customer orders as needed.
• → Ensure that daily production goals are being met

• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership of large, small and effective work teams

• Understanding of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. Experience using warehouse management systems to manage inventory preferred
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred but not required
• Enthusiastic self-starter and team player a must
• Minimum High School diploma and five years of previous supervisory experience in any industry preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Experience supervising daily activities of seasonal, temporary and full-time personnel required.
• Availability to work 2nd shift, overtime and weekends throughout the October through December season

• Work is performed in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to heavy machinery, dust, noise, frequent sustained walking and/or standing for prolonged periods of time,  fluctuating temperatures and moderate noise levels
• Position involves working around machinery with moving parts
• The position may require alternating shifts, depending on volume
• Position requires regular lifting / carrying of up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Position requires movement of items from machinery to other locations
• Position requires repetitive activities including hand motions needed to place items on equipment, utilize tools and product guides 
• Frequent sustained walking and /or standing for prolonged periods of time
• Requires repetitive hand motions to feel or operate objects, tools, computers or other equipment.
