Material Handler

The Water Spider needs to be thoroughly familiar with the materials, tools and methods of the process they are supporting. By working within the processes this position also requires to be constantly moving and facilitating workflow all the while keeping the workplace clean and efficient. The Route should be systematic, every day the position should have a timeline or a system to go by. Their rounds should be made at regular intervals always checking for finished operations and replenishing operators with the next job or more material. This position is a critical role in making continuous flow and a smoothly functioning Lean system a reality.

• →While performing duties for this job, it’s required to alternate between standing and sitting. Also perform walking, gross manipulation, climbing stairs, ladders, ramps, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling

• →Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily.
• →Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor.
• →Possible risk of injury from equipment or sharp parts and may be required to use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles.
• →Requires using cranes.
• →Assignment may require working on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials.
• →Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data.
• →Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 50 lbs.
