Why join Polycam?
Polycam's mission is straightforward: To make professional 3D capture effortless and accessible, empowering anyone to transform the physical world into digital workflows.
We’re building the future of imaging at a moment when 3D is becoming as fundamental as photography once did. Our focus is on delivering best-in-class 3D capture tools that are seamless, affordable, and collaborative—technology that removes friction and unlocks creativity rather than getting in the way.
We believe that when people are given exceptional tools, they build extraordinary things. That belief drives everything we do, from the products we ship to the way we work together as a team. If you’re excited by innovation, care deeply about craft, and want your work to shape how the world captures and understands reality, you’ll feel right at home at Polycam.
Responsibilities
~2 min readWe're looking for a talented product designer to join our team. You'll be working on Polycam's cross-platform SaaS product, with a strong focus on mobile (iOS/Android) since that's where the majority of our customers live, alongside our web experience. You'll help us deeply understand what our users need and shape the product around what actually drives value and retention.
Our ideal candidate has a strong Prosumer SaaS background and knows how to turn user insight into product decisions that move the needle on product-market fit. A big part of our roadmap is turning raw captures into valuable, trustworthy outputs — reports, floorplans, and other artifacts our professional users can act on — so an interest in designing for trust and reliability in an AI-powered product is a plus. You'll design and ship high-quality product improvements, with mobile as the primary surface.
- →Design intuitive, high-quality experiences with a mobile-first mindset, while maintaining consistency across web
- →Parse analytics and usage data to gather evidence about user patterns and behavior, particularly mobile usage
- →Turn insights into product decisions that improve activation, retention, and product-market fit
- →Help design the outputs and workflows that turn a user's capture into a finished, trustworthy artifact they can rely on
- →Design and test onboarding and activation experiences that get new users to a valuable first outcome quickly, rather than just through signup
- →Partner with data and growth teams to understand who our customers are, where they find (or don't find) value, and use that to shape retention and conversion work
- →Work in a highly collaborative fashion with engineers to ensure clarity in how your designs are implemented and used
- →Contribute to overall product strategy and direction
