Now is your opportunity to join us. We are currently looking for an Operations Manager for our Operations team.
Under the direction of the Regional Business Unit Manager and in close cooperation with sales personnel, the Operations Manager is responsible for producing and completing assigned projects in any market segment in order to satisfy the customer’s needs and expectations. Additionally, the Operations Manager will perform and supervise other operations personnel with field work within an assigned office. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the local office including but not limited to project execution, equipment readiness, Team development, and overall day to day management of operations.
- Engage in and promote all health and safety protocols and processes at Polygon
- Utilize and advocate the Polygon Model in daily functions and activities
- Complete and submit expense reports accurately and in a timely fashion to ensure company issued credit card is not delinquent in payment
- Accurately complete on a daily basis all project, equipment maintenance, and other documentation as required
- Continue to develop and actively engage in the Polygon Core Competency and Development Plan for self and direct reports
- Responsible for successful project completion, including direct and indirect cost control, scope completion and change orders, documentation, quality-control, job-file completion, and reporting
- Communicate and interface proactively with Sales Team to assist with estimating or scoping projects in the assigned office.
- Facilitate pre-project planning activities with Sales Team
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs and communicate with Sales Team regarding these changes
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Minimize out of service equipment in the assigned office and engage in activities to make out of service equipment ready to rent
- Implement best practices and processes for equipment maintenance and repair within assigned office
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner while following federally mandated DOT regulations when applicable and completing documentation as required. Vehicles are equipped with electronic monitoring devices and drivers are required to have a minimum safety score that is determined by the Polygon EH&S Manager
- Utilize current ERP (NetSuite) for all functions of the position including but not limited to project management, asset management, inventory, purchasing, and time entry or approval
- Responsible for managing assigned house accounts that have little to no sales representation.
- Assist and support PIA sales management in scoping and estimating projects and applications.
- Active Role in local P&L and accountable for Revenue and how it relates to the Profit and Loss.
- Approve payroll for direct reports per company guidelines
Requirements
~2 min read- Minimum two years of technical school or four years on the job experience in a related field required
- Two years of project management experience and two years supervisory experience in a service industry required
- Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills. High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills along with technical skills
- Must be Team oriented and professional manner
- Ability to perform duties that are physical in nature
- Willing to work overtime when needed
- Willing to travel on short notice, sometimes for extended duration (typically 1-3 weeks)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to utilize and tow trailers for delivery of equipment
- Ability to use IT hardware and equipment for documentation and reporting
- Ability to assist with scope and design of basic or complex projects
- All items under Polygon Operations Technician I, II, and Project Manager
- Polygon Core Competencies Level 3 complete and reviewed by supervisor
- OSHA 30 hour safety training
- THC Fundamentals Course (Polygon internal)
- Coaching and mentoring course (3rd Party)
- NFPA 70E course (3rd Party)
- IICRC or equivalent courses for WRT/ASD:
- WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician) - required
- ASD (Applied Structural Drying) – requirement determined by National Operations Manager
- Ability to use Polygon DPC and Psyc It apps
- Ability to use internal sizing and design software which includes but is not limited to PsycPro, Drycool HCUB, Heat Calc, and moisture load worksheets
