The Safety Intern supports Pieper Electric’s people-first safety culture by learning how hazard recognition, pre-task planning, jobsite observations, safe work practices, and incident prevention protect employees, customers, and project outcomes. Working alongside Health and Safety professionals, project teams, field leaders, and craftspeople, the intern assists with field observations, documentation, training support, safety communications, and continuous-improvement activities.

This internship provides meaningful exposure to electrical construction safety and the complete project lifecycle while developing the technical, professional, and business skills needed for an early-career role in occupational safety, construction safety, or environmental health and safety. Interns are expected to understand that safety is a shared responsibility and to speak up when conditions, behaviors, or information could place people or work at risk.

At Pieper Electric, we believe in the Power to Serve and the Pursuit of Excellence. Our values of Servant’s Heart, Wisdom, Integrity, Courage, Humility, and Passion guide how we learn, collaborate, support the field, and serve our customers and teammates. As an intern, you will be encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, seek feedback, protect confidential information, and contribute to a safe and respectful team environment.
