Session physician would provide vasectomies in our Schenectady and/or Newburgh health centers.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Provides vasectomies under local anesthesia.
- Provides clinical consultation to advance practice physicians.
- Participates in Center chart audit procedures and reviews laboratory and diagnostic reports as appropriate.
- Reports to the Regional Medical Director on all medical complications and other matters as needed.
- Participates in PPGNY’s quality management activities, including Debriefings and Root Cause Analyses, as required.
- Ensures compliance with PPGNY’s and regulatory agencies’ standards and guidelines.
- Completes all responsibilities according to established protocols, policies and standard practices in the areas of customer service, ADA and regulatory compliance programs such as HIPAA.

- Must be licensed to practice in New York State.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with vasectomy provision.
- Requires basic computer/EMR proficiency.
- Current NYS Physician License and Registration.
- Current BLS certification.
This job operates in a professional office environment. Potential exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions in a health center environment. May require travel to other health centers, at times in inclement weather. Requires flexible schedule and during peak activity periods work in excess of 7.5 hours per day and/or 37.5 hours per week.
