CT Tech/Full-Time-Days/Atrium Medical Center

Unit: Medical Imaging Shift: Full-TIme-Days(630a-7p Wed-Fri) Facility: Atrium Medical Center General Summary/Responsibilities: Independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities or at other facilities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements: * Type of degree: Allied Health * Area of study or major: Radiologic Technology Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: * CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire * ARRT RT (R) registry required * ODH licensure required Licensure/Certification/Registration Preferred: * CT registry preferred Experience Required: Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Experience Preferred: * One year experience or additional training in specialized field of CT Knowledge/Skills * Cross-sectional anatomy * Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) * Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage * Advanced CT computer applications * Radiation safety
