Job Title: Supervisor-Health Information Management Unit: Health Information Shift: Full-Time-Days-8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Facility: Atrium Medical Center Under the general management of the Premier Regional HIMS Manager, the Site Supervisor of HIMS is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling all record processing function of HIMS except for coding and transcription. All work is carried out in accordance with the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and Health Information Management Services approved policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring productivity, working with the Regional Manager to establish standards, and general maintaining the supervisory responsibility for these functional areas of the HIMS department. This individual is responsible for overseeing the site work area as well as the performance appraisals of site HIMs direct reports.
