Responsibilities

→Perform and strictly adhere to aseptic techniques, ensuring a sterile field and surgical instruments remain uncontaminated throughout the procedure. Prepare the O.R. suite by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes according to surgery type and surgeon’s preferences.
→Properly clean, sterilize, and store surgical instruments, ensuring they are in working condition before procedures. Accurately count sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after surgery to prevent retention of surgical items.
→Anticipate the surgeon’s needs, passing instruments, supplies, and medications quickly and efficiently during procedures. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation of the incision site as needed. Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure seamless operations during surgery. Maintain effective communication with the team to meet all patient needs throughout the procedure.
→Ensure compliance with hospital safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines. Monitor and manage the overall safety of the operating room environment.

Completion of an approved surgical tech program Required

1-3 years Surgery Tech Experience Preferred

Hears Whispers < 3 feet - Constantly
Hears Whispers 3-8 feet - Constantly

Color Discrimination - Constantly
Near Vision (Correctable to Jaeger 2 or 20/40 binocular) - Constantly
Distance Vision (Correctable to Snellen chart 20/40 binocular) - Constantly
