Under limited supervision, performs a variety of tasks and assignments for the continual maintenance, diagnosis and repair of the organization’s construction equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on construction vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical issues, electrical faults, and hydraulic problems
Replace or repair defective parts, such as fluids, lights, brakes, and hydraulic components, ensuring that all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to assess their condition and ensure they meet safety and performance standards
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used, labor hours, and any other relevant information
Work closely with operators and supervisors to address and resolve any equipment issues promptly
Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices.
Maintain a physical presence onsite and provide assistance to specific groups, managers and project management teams as needed.

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
Proven experience as a vehicle and equipment mechanic or in a similar role
Possession of a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), preferably Class A
Welding experience preferred
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
Familiarity with safety procedures, vehicle maintenance practices, and repair techniques specific to construction vehicles
Ability to lift heavy parts, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle repair
Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of the team
Work is primarily performed in a warehouse setting with occasional exposure to health or safety hazards such as, but not limited to, heavy equipment and machinery and inclement weather conditions. Frequent operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment. Work may be performed in cramped or awkward positions. Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying of 50+ lbs. (including heavier loads with assistance). Travel required to work sites. Frequent use of personal protective equipment (e.g. safety glasses, gloves, safety vests, hard hats and steel-toed boots).
