Responsibilities

→Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
→Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit
→Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
→Administer injections and perform EKGs, venipuncture, and other lab procedures as needed
→Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
→Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider
→Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly set up
→Support quality improvement initiatives, including patient recall, preventive screenings, and care gap closures
→Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed
→Follow infection control and safety procedures

Requirements

Must have a CMA or RMA current certification
3 years of experience in primary care
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
Previous EMR/EHR experience with NextGen is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:15 am-4:00 pm, Friday 7:15 am-2:45 pm (must be flexible) and available for Saturday clinic at least once a month from 8am-12pm
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
