- Base salary range: $108,413 – $120,287 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
The Directorate of Student Life and Community sits within the Education and Student Experience Portfolio, overseen by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education and Student Experience). Student Life and Community play an integral role in the shared strategic goal of providing a world-class student experience.
The Division of Student Engagement and Belonging fosters connection, inclusion and participation by delivering innovative programs and services that support students throughout their university journey. Reporting to the Director, the Division leads orientation, transition and engagement initiatives for all students to enhance student success, belonging and connection to University life. It provides dedicated support and tailored services for international students, promoting cultural inclusion and wellbeing. Through leadership development, peer programs and student partnership initiatives, the Division strengthens student voice, agency and leadership capability. The Division also oversees multi-faith engagement, interfaith activities and community partnerships supporting a respectful, inclusive and culturally safe university community.
About the Role
~1 min read- Support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of peer leadership programs that strengthen student capability, engagement, belonging, and leadership development.
- Coordinate student leader recruitment, training, supervision, workshops, communications, stakeholder engagement, and the Student Grants program to ensure effective program delivery.
- Drive student-centred and evidence-based initiatives by partnering with students, monitoring outcomes, evaluating impact, and building strong relationships across the university and wider sector.

- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Experience coordinating leadership development, training delivery or capability-building programs or projects in a tertiary, community, or youth engagement context.
- Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with students or young people in co-design or participatory decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of best practice in student engagement, peer learning, or student leadership models.
- Highly developed organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
