Job Title: Locum Speech and Language Therapist – Adult Dysphagia
Banding: Band 6/7
Location: West London
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £24.00–£32.00 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time
Contract Length: 3 Months

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist to join a community-based service in West London on a locum basis. This exciting opportunity offers flexible full-time or part-time hours for an initial three-month contract, with an immediate start available.

Working across community and outpatient clinic settings, you will assess, diagnose, and manage adults with communication and swallowing disorders, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a therapist with experience in dysphagia management who enjoys working across a variety of clinical environments.

In this role, you will:

• →Assess, diagnose, and treat adults presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
• →Independently manage a caseload across community and outpatient clinic settings.
• →Provide assessment and treatment for patients with dysphagia in line with current clinical guidelines.
• →Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to support patients' communication and swallowing needs.
• →Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
• →Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with HCPC and local service standards.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration.
• Experience working at Band 6 or Band 7 level.
• Dysphagia competency and relevant postgraduate training.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
