Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to work with an established pharmacy team in Kent. This role focuses on ward-based medicines management activities, supporting safe and effective patient care through accurate medicines reconciliation, patient counselling, and clinical support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring medicines are used safely and efficiently across inpatient wards, working closely with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Undertake medicines reconciliations for patients on hospital wards.
- →Perform accuracy checking duties where appropriate.
- →Conduct controlled drug (CD) audits and support compliance.
- →Provide patient counselling on medicines and support safe discharge processes.
- →Work collaboratively with pharmacists and ward teams to optimise patient care.
Requirements
~1 min read- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Proven experience undertaking medicines reconciliation in a hospital setting (essential).
- ACPT qualification desirable but not essential.
- Previous NHS hospital experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
