Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Band 7 Locum Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging. You will ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, provide accurate diagnostic reports, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care. Additionally, you will maintain up-to-date patient records and contribute to the continuous improvement of ultrasound services.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Ultrasound.
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (PGCert, PGDip, or MSc).
- Current registration with HCPC or equivalent professional body.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Band 7 Sonographer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in a range of ultrasound techniques and specialisms.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
