Pulse are recruiting an HCPC registered Psychologist to join a specialist residential service supporting children and young people with complex trauma, autism, and learning disabilities. This is a full-time, on-site role working across several sites in the greater Manchester region. Sponsorship is available for eligible applicants (must be HCPC registered), and the role offers a unique opportunity to lead psychological therapies within a trauma-informed framework.

Responsibilities

As a Psychologist, you will:

→Deliver specialist psychological assessments and therapy to children and young people with severe and enduring mental health needs.
→Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
→Lead psychological input across services, embedding trauma-informed care principles.
→Provide consultation, guidance, and supervision to non-psychologist colleagues, trainees, and assistants.
→Contribute to service development through research, audit, and teaching.
→Work closely within a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining autonomy within professional guidelines.

Requirements

Have experience working with children and young people, ideally in residential or trauma-informed settings
Are confident in psychological formulation and therapeutic delivery across a range of models
Can work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
