Consultant in Adult Psychiatry - London

• →Provide clinical leadership and psychiatric care for adult patients in an inpatient setting.
• →Act as an Approved Clinician under the Mental Health Act, with responsibilities including detention, treatment, and discharge planning.
• →Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• →Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.
• →Supervise and support junior medical staff and contribute to their training and development.
• →Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.
• →Engage with families, carers, and external agencies to support holistic care and recovery.

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Inclusion on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of CCT)
• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
• Approved Clinician status under the Mental Health Act (or eligibility to obtain)
• Significant experience in inpatient adult psychiatry
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
