A specialist healthcare service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join an Adolescent Inpatient Eating Disorder ward. This is a part-time role of 15 hours per week (2 days).
The service provides exceptional care across a range of mental health issues, including eating disorders. The multidisciplinary team delivers personalised treatment programs within a calm, therapeutic environment.

Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans alongside the multidisciplinary team.

Leading ward rounds, MDT meetings, and overseeing complex clinical cases, including risk management.

Supporting patients and families with treatment planning, relapse prevention, and recovery.

Providing supervision to junior staff and contributing to service quality, compliance, and improvement initiatives.

Collaborating with site leadership to enhance service delivery and patient experience.

The role is rewarding but challenging, requiring resilience, empathy, and strong clinical leadership.
The ideal candidate will:

Be a fully registered medical practitioner with the GMC, hold a licence to practise, and be on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Hold Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.

Have experience managing complex cases of eating disorders in an inpatient adolescent setting.

Demonstrate strong clinical leadership, risk management expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
