Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 8a Oncology Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled pharmacist with extensive hospital and oncology experience to provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to oncology and haematology patients within a leading healthcare setting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the safe and effective delivery of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT), working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes and maintain the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services for oncology and haematology patients.
- →Undertake clinical screening and verification of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions.
- →Support the safe and effective use of cancer medicines in line with local and national guidelines.
- →Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise treatment pathways and patient outcomes.
- →Contribute to clinical governance, service development, and medicines optimisation initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including oncology and haematology services.
- Competent in the clinical screening and verification of SACT prescriptions.
- Strong knowledge of cancer treatments, chemotherapy protocols, and supportive care medicines.
- BOPA Passport desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
