Pulse Mental Health is recruiting for a Locum Psychologist to join a specialist inpatient mental health service in North West England. This is an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist or Forensic Psychologist seeking a rewarding locum position within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Working with adults presenting with complex mental health needs, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality psychological care and supporting service users on their recovery journeys. Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Locum Psychologist, you will:
- →Conduct specialist psychological assessments and develop evidence-based formulations.
- →Deliver individual and group psychological interventions tailored to service user needs.
- →Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- →Contribute to risk assessments, care planning and review meetings.
- →Support psychologically informed practice across the service.
- →Provide consultation and guidance to colleagues where appropriate.
- →Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
- →Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements
~1 min read- HCPC registration as a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist.
- Doctoral-level qualification in Psychology (or recognised equivalent).
- Experience working with adults with complex mental health needs.
- Strong assessment, formulation and intervention skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience within inpatient mental health, rehabilitation or secure services.
- Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches.
- Experience contributing to service development or staff consultation.
