Pulse is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a community-based Adult Speech and Language Therapy team in Preston.
This role will involve providing specialist assessment and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties within a community setting. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to support individuals in achieving the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessments for adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
- →Deliver evidence-based interventions for patients with a range of neurological and age-related conditions.
- →Undertake dysphagia assessments and management in line with professional guidelines.
- →Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to meet patient needs.
- →Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- →Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in accordance with local and professional standards.
- →Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives where appropriate.
Requirements
~1 min read- Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Dysphagia trained with proven experience managing adult swallowing disorders.
- Experience working within adult community Speech and Language Therapy services.
- Demonstrable experience assessing and treating communication difficulties.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
