Supervisor needed for Commercial Laundry

To assist Manager in arranging the daily work schedule for valet. Experience preferred but not required. Willing to train for the position. Assuring those proper procedures are being followed for all valet customers. Assure proper production work measurements are met based upon the guidelines for the specific task and reporting the results to the Manager. Also, in the absence of a Manager, the Supervisor is to assume the role and accept full responsibility of a manager with the guidance of the Director of Operations.

• Assists Valet Manager in ensuring hotel and corporate administrative requirements meet deadlines through proper completion of production reports, inventorying of uniforms, and chemicals/dry cleaning supplies as well as accurate record keeping of guest laundry and dry cleaning
• Oversees and assigns duties to all staff and checks all orders for completion and quality
• Assists all staff members in meeting deadlines and production targets
• Supervises drivers and makes sure pickups/deliveries are made on a timely basis
• Enforces all policies and procedures in the department and will hand down disciplinary action when needed

• Discard worn, torn and faded linen following established procedures
• Assist in other positions in the Laundry/Valet dept as needed or directed by immediate supervisor.

• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Ability to follow valet procedures set forth by Five Star Hotel Laundry
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. Requires lifting bundles of linen up to 50lb
• Basic ability to communicate in English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions and to communicate with accounts.
• Ability to push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 500 lbs.
• Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges
• Must be exact and detailed oriented in their work so that customers are happy

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability. High School Diploma.
• Understanding of English language both written and verbal.
