As a manager, your focus includes:
- Stay up to date with, and analyse the impact of, changes to tax policies, laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough technical research and analysis of tax issues, and translate the findings into practical insights on how they affect clients’ businesses.
- Serve as a trusted technical adviser to engagement teams across the firm, collaborating to provide practical tax solutions.
- Draft technical communications, newsletters, thought leadership articles and updates to PwC publications.
- Present at and help shape internal technical forums and discussions.
- Advance the use of technology and AI to sharpen the delivery of tax technical solutions.
- Contribute to people development by delivering training.
You will work closely with engagement teams and leaders, help shape the firm’s view on key tax developments and grow your career in a team valued for its technical depth.
To excel in this role, you need a deep understanding of Malaysian tax laws, the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to stakeholders, an aptitude for continuous learning, and a strong team and service mindset. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include:

Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or Law, or a professional accounting or taxation qualification.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in tax or a similar role.
- An agile mindset, with the commitment to adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and regulations.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to connect tax policy and technical developments to the practical issues and business challenges faced by clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, managerial, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Malay.
