CNC Machine Operator – Structural Steel

Operate CNC machinery using the appropriate settings for each job.

Measure and inspect materials to ensure they meet design specifications.

Identify and select the correct material type, stock size, and dimensions.

Mark materials with the required job and production information.

Maintain accurate records of daily production and material usage.

Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment problems.

Follow workplace safety practices and keep the work area clean and organized.

Previous experience operating a CNC plasma table or performing sawing, drilling, or cutting operations is required.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and technical notes is preferred.

Ability to read a tape measure accurately to within 1/16 inch.

Basic math skills.

Experience safely operating overhead cranes and material transfer/conveyor systems.

Ability to regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Comfortable working in hot and cold shop environments.

Tekla PowerFab experience is preferred.
