Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager, operating in all liquid asset classes across the world. We are a technology- and data-driven group implementing a scientific approach to investing. Combining data, research, technology, and trading expertise has shaped our collaborative mindset, which enables us to solve the most complex challenges. QRT’s culture of innovation continuously drives our ambition to deliver high-quality returns for our investors.

As Network Architecture Lead you will have ultimate architectural oversight and long-term design direction for QRTs trading and enterprise networks. Working closely with the global network team, you will help define and document the long-term design direction for QRTs trading and enterprise network globally. Key to the role will be collaborating with the team to defining practical standards and ensuring designs are scalable, supportable, instrumented and aligned with business requirements.  Success in this role means establishing a clear, network-wide architectural direction, with teams consistently applying agreed and documented standards rather than developing isolated or site-specific solutions.

  • Design and maintain documentation for the current-state, target-state and transition plans for QRT’s global trading and enterprise networks.
  • Define architecture standards and reference designs in cooperation with the network teams.
  • Review significant designs for scalability, resilience, latency, simplicity and operational support.
  • Document design decisions, dependencies, monitoring requirements and expected operating models.
  • Define instrumentation standards covering telemetry, monitoring, logging, alerting and dashboards.
  • Identify and track architectural risks, technical debt and gaps between current and target states.
  • Apply lessons from project delivery, operational experience and incidents to strengthen future designs.
  • Build alignment across engineering and business stakeholders, ensuring teams adopt consistent and documented design patterns.
  • Deep experience designing complex, multi-site network environments.
  • Strong knowledge of WAN, data-centre networking, BGP, multicast, VXLAN/EVPN and low-latency design.
  • Experience producing architecture plans, standards, reference designs and decision records.
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation and operational visibility.
  • Knowledge of network equipment supporting business systems and FPGA-connected network paths.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build agreement across teams without direct authority.

QRT is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome diversity as essential to our success. QRT empowers employees to work openly and respectfully to achieve collective success. In addition to professional achievement, we are offering initiatives and programs to enable employees achieve a healthy work-life balance.
