Quench is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead process design, optimization, and continuous improvement efforts within the refurbishment operation at our Grapevine, Texas facility. This role is responsible for owning refurbishment processes end to end, driving Lean implementation, and delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
The Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a technical leader on the shop floor, working closely with production, quality, and operations leadership to standardize work, eliminate waste, improve first pass yield, and increase throughput. This role requires the ability to operate independently, identify problems proactively, and execute solutions with minimal supervision. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Refurbishment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read• Own and continuously improve refurbishment processes for filtered water systems including bottle free water coolers, ice machines, sparkling water dispensers, and coffee brewers
• Design and implement scalable, repeatable processes that improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost
• Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S implementation, Kaizen events, value stream mapping, standard work, and Kanban systems
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, yield losses, failure trends, and process variation
• Drive root cause analysis for quality and reliability issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, process documentation, visual standards, and training materials
• Train, coach, and support production teams on standard work and process changes
• Partner with quality, supply chain, and operations teams to support new product introductions, process changes, and issue resolution
• Act as a technical point of contact for refurbishment related process decisions and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
~1 min read• Two to five years of experience in a manufacturing or refurbishment environment with demonstrated ownership of process improvement initiatives
• Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, Kanban, and standard work
• Proven ability to identify problems, analyze data, and implement durable process improvements
• Comfortable working directly on the shop floor in a fast paced, hands-on environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action and accountability
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of operating with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and data driven analysis tools
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and safely handle tools and equipment as required
