SEWING MACHINE OPERATOR

Description

The Sewist is responsible for producing high-quality custom drapery, AV-Drop skins, and other fabric products. This role requires strong sewing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines and quality standards. 

• →Operate industrial sewing equipment, including straight stitch and overlock. 
• →Measure, cut, sew, and finish fabric products according to work orders and specifications. 
• →Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship. 
• →Follow instructions and drawings. 
• →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 
• →Assist with fabric handling, material organization, and inventory as needed. 
• →Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards. 
• →Support team members and assist with other fabrication tasks as assigned. 

• 2+ years of sewing experience preferred. 
• Experience with industrial sewing machines. 
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow specifications. 
• Strong attention to detail and quality. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. 
• Willingness to work overtime when required. 

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. 
• Ability to stand, bend, and sit for extended periods. 
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to sewing equipment and textiles.
