A prominent, well-established non-profit organisation is seeking a strategic and hands-on Marketing Manager and Brand Strategist to drive brand equity and multi-channel growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this senior management role perfectly balances long-term marketing strategy with daily operational execution. The successful candidate will lead and mentor a tenured internal creative team, ensure the responsible stewardship of departmental funds, and collaborate cross-functionally to accelerate fundraising initiatives. Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:30 to 16:30, and Fridays, 08:30 to 14:30. Key Responsibilities Strategy Development: Design and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing and communications strategy that highlights the organisation's core societal impact. Brand Ownership: Serve as the primary brand custodian, maintaining absolute consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity across all internal departments and public touchpoints. Digital Growth: Formulate and oversee the digital roadmap, including website optimization, social media engagement, email marketing campaigns, and performance-based digital advertising. Content Strategy: Supervise all storytelling efforts, managing the end-to-end production of impact reports, media releases, and regular stakeholder newsletters. Donor & Event Collaboration: Partner closely with fundraising and event teams to develop compelling donor-centric collateral and execute end-to-end promotional campaigns. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire the internal marketing team, establishing clear performance objectives and cultivating a high-performance culture. Executive Consultation: Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive executive committee (EXCO) regarding communication risks and emerging public relations opportunities. Vendor & Budget Management: Manage external agency partners, freelancers, and multimedia suppliers while maintaining strict oversight of the departmental budget and campaign ROI. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a closely related discipline. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of professional marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a dedicated senior management or leadership capacity. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across both traditional and digital channels, ideally within a similar structured environment. Leadership Capabilities: Proven experience managing internal creative staff, cross-functional teams, and external agency relationships. Interpersonal Skills: High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity, with a proven ability to build trust and consensus within long-standing, established teams. Financial Acumen: Strong budget management skills with the ability to track, analyze, and report on marketing spend efficiency. Adaptability: A resilient, self-directed professional who thrives when managing competing priorities in a fluid operational landscape. Preferred Qualifications Postgraduate qualification or a relevant professional marketing certification (e.g., CMSA). Required Software Skills Proficiency across mainstream digital marketing platforms, content management systems (CMS), and social media management tools.
