Medical Assistant / Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Assistant / Radiologic Technologist to join our Orthopaedic Urgent Care team. This dual-role position supports providers through both clinical and diagnostic imaging responsibilities, including patient care, procedures, X-rays, and documentation. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• →Assist providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
• →Perform diagnostic X-rays and obtain high-quality images using appropriate views and techniques
• →Follow radiation safety guidelines, including proper coning and shielding
• →Assist with casts, splints, dressings, injections, and other orthopaedic procedures
• →Provide patients with instructions regarding cast and wound care
• →Document patient information and office notes accurately in the EHR
• →Coordinate diagnostic orders, follow-up appointments, and laboratory specimens
• →Operate and properly maintain radiologic equipment; report malfunctions as needed
• →Keep exam rooms, imaging areas, and clinical workspaces clean, stocked, and organized
• →Follow OSHA, infection control, and organizational safety guidelines
• →Assist with clerical duties and patient flow as needed
• →Float to satellite and other clinical locations with the assigned provider
• →Maintain regular attendance and participate in continuing education as required

• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT certification and valid state Radiologic Technologist license (as applicable)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with EHR systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with providers, coworkers, and patients
• Willingness to work at satellite/other clinical locations as needed

• Physical guidelines include ability to be exposed to minimal radiation, stand/walk for up to eight hours/day, bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, assist patient in arising from exam table, push wheelchair patients, and assist patient in arising from and returning to wheelchair.
• Physical requirements also include repetitive lifting of objects weighing up to 11 pounds with occasional lifting to 30 pounds.

• Rotating 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage every other week
