About Us

Ranovus is a semiconductor company with global operations helping power the data behind next generation AI and data center networks. We design and build advanced hardware that moves massive amounts of information quickly and efficiently between computer systems in data centers around the world. Our technology improves performance while reducing energy use and environmental impact, supporting the rapid growth of AI and cloud services. At Ranovusyou’ll join a collaborative, inclusive team that values learning, flexibility, and meaningful work with global impact.

The Opportunity

Hands-on technical contributor supporting laser development and advanced optical packaging - silicon photonics product build, while also helping assemble, debug, and maintain prototype and automated assembly and test systems.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Support laser and photonics R&D experiments: setup, execution, data capture, and clear result summaries.
  • Perform precision optical assembly under microscope: handling of laser dies/sub-mounts, micro-optics, fiber arrays/ferrules, inspection and rework as needed.
  • Build/maintain fiber and cable routing/harnessing for prototype and scale-up test/assembly systems (strain relief, cleanliness, repeatability).
  • Operate semi/automated assembly and test stations; follow work instructions and contribute to process improvement.
  • Support station bring-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance (sensors, actuators custom pick-up heads, motion/fixtures, basic lab instrumentation).
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs; maintain service logs and lab readiness.
  • Maintain safe, organized lab operations (ESD/laser safety, 5S, consumables/tool control).

What You’ll Bring

  • Technician/Technologist diploma (Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Photonics or similar) or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10 years hands-on experience in R&D lab, advanced manufacturing, automation equipment support, or photonics/optoelectronics.
  • Strong manual dexterity (small parts/microscope work) and disciplined documentation.
  • Practical troubleshooting skills; can work independently and collaboratively.

Additional Assets (nice to have)

  • Fiber optics handling/cleanliness, optical coupling and power measurements.
  • Micro-optics assembly, die attach, wire bonding, laser burn-in/test, wafer handling.
  • Fine-pitch soldering/rework, harness build practices.
  • Test & measurement tools (eg. SMU/OSA/scope/DAQ), motion/vision/automation station experience.
